I've finally had thoughts
It's been awhile since I've been on here. I've finally had some thoughts to post, well not many. I've not been up to much since I last posted something on here.
I went to Glacier National Park earlier this month http://www.flickr.com/photos/tbirdshockeyfan/sets/72157607560076965/
The weather was clear for the most part, but very windy. I stayed at the Many Glacier Hotel and it was so windy, that shingles started blowing off the roof there. I didn't see as many animals as I would have liked there, but I did in other parts of Montana and Idaho, to see pictures of them, please go to my Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/tbirdshockeyfan
The Sounders FC are in the final stretch of their season. They have just a couple of more matches left and I'm thinking that they need at least 4 more points to have a realistic shot at the playoffs in the MLS. Hopefully they will get them. It may come down to their last match of the year which is a home match. They've not been playing well at home lately, but hopefully they will pick up points on the road. They seem to have been playing in peaks and valleys all season and right now, they seem to be in a valley.
Thanks for reading my blog. Hope you all have a great day.

Random thoughts
I'm looking forward to the Chelsea - Sounders FC match on Saturday. This should be a great match. The Sounders FC are on a roll, they played fairly well against Houston at Qwest on Saturday in the win. Hopefully they can continue this nice roll they have been on in both MLS play and Cup play. They have a rematch against Houston on the 21st of this month at Starfire in Tukwila, this time though it is a semifinal match in the Cup play. I'm thinking both teams will be fielding squads mainly comprised of first team players or as close to it as they can get. The starting XI was announced today for the MLS All-Star match against Everton. Kasey Keller and Freddie Ljungberg were both named starters. I'm guessing that there might be one or two more Sounders FC players named in the reserves.
The Mariners have hit their All-Star break on a nice roll. They are a few games above .500 for the season, which I don't think anyone would have thought would have been possible. I think there have been some nice additions to the teams leadership and younger players being given a chance to play. Hopefully they can keep it up for the second half of the season.
Thanks for reading my blog. I've posted some more pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/tbirdshockeyfan I hope to put up some more this week. I've also had some professional interest in my work this week, hopefully I'm not too late in getting back to the people about it. More on that my next posting.

Practice Training
I had an evaluation today. It went fairly well, although, I feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I am a very, very shy person. No matter how hard I try, I can't overcome it. I feel like in order for me to continue working, I have to overcome it. My shyness torments me and now I have to decide if I should continue working in a profession that I thoroughly enjoy or try and find a new job or a new place to work. I don't know what to do. Maybe I'll feel better after my time off, I'm not sure. I'm not really sure of what to do. Either I come to work and continue to feel physically sick as I try and overcome what causes me this distress, trying not to be myself, which is being quiet and shy or giving it up, being able to be myself and not working in a job that I enjoy. I enjoy helping people, that's why I chose this profession. Maybe it's not the profession for me anymore. I only know I can be myself and not something else, otherwise I don't think I can be happy.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. I'm going to be taking a bit of time off so I won't be blogging again for awhile.

Photos and sports
Hopefully the Sounders FC will beat Chivas USA tonight down in Carson, CA. They have had a handfull of draws in a row, which is better than losing that many games, as picking up points on the road is a good thing, but that many draws at home, doesn't make the home crowd as happy, although the crowds are still into the matches and the atmosphere is incredible there. I can't wait for the friendlies against Chelsea and the UEFA Champion's League Champions Barcelona this year in Seattle.
Thanks for reading my blog. I'll blog more when I have the time. Take care and I'll blog again soon.

More Random Thoughts
I've decided that YouTube can be fun, lots of interesting videos are on it, although the quality of some them are poor. Here are some more finds that I enjoyed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VofXdFNuI3U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGE8wVTvHF0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0X-t4en2wPE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BQBa45IOiY I've not had a chance to watch them completely, so I don't know if they are complete or not.
I also like music as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK2hKzZss5Y http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW3Risxm6PY I've had the opportunity to see Sir Paul three times in concert and I hope to be able to see him again, as he puts on a great show. This song I've not seen him perform live, but it is one of my favorites http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsWufNDJl4M
I did buy some books over the weekend, but I forgot to write down their ISBN's or the titles to input them into my LibraryThing account http://www.librarything.com/catalog/tbirdshockeyfan I'll have to add them in the next few days. It's quite nice having an online account for my books, as I am an avid book buyer, and I hate buying the same ones more than once. I saw a title this weekend at a store, I thought I owned it, but the cover looked different. I checked out my account on LibraryThing and saw that I already owned it, thus saving money and time, by not having to return it to Seattle.
I've learned much over these past 9 or so weeks. I hope that I'll be able to remember it all, especially my user names and passwords, as they all are different, so that will be a big challenge, as to trying to remember what goes with what account, especially if I don't use them on a regular basis.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. I hope you have a great day!

Internet Rantings
Like most things on the internet, there are good things and bad things. YouTube can be a fun place to explore and see what people have posted. Some of it fun and interesting to look at and others boring and uninteresting. I have some experiences with Podcasts from work. They can be quite useful, it allows someone to be trained without having to leave where they work. If something isn't understood, you can just replay the podcast, until it is understood.
I have discovered that someone down in Reed College, Portland, Oregon has taken a picture that I had used on my Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/tbirdshockeyfan and claimed it as their own. Needless to say I was quite upset when I discovered this. I only found out about it, as I was looking at my Flickr site and discovered an odd URL that someone had used to look at my picture. I was surprised to see the blog that was written about the picture. The blogs author at least linked the picture back to my Flickr site, but what they wrote irritated me. So far nothing has been done, although I have now de-linked the picture so all that they have on their post is a space where it says the picture is currently unavailable, although if you click the spot where the picture is suppose to be, it still takes you to my picture and my Flickr site.
Today's UEFA Champion's League Final looks like it was a great game to watch. I can't wait to go home and watch it. I was torn over who I wanted to win. Man. U a team I have seen in Seattle and cheer for in the EPL. They were trying to become the first back to back champions since A.C. Milan in the late 1980s. Barcelona won, which means that when they come to town in August to play the Seattle Sounders FC, I'll be watching the reining UEFA Champions League Champions play, that will be a very cool event indeed.
This is the last week's worth of training, so I'm not sure if more training is going to be coming in the future, if there is, I'll be blogging on here about that. If there isn't, I might just blog about sports on here, thus my reason for giving the blog its title. Hopefully the M's will pull out of their funk and get back on track. Seems like when the offense is clicking the pitching needs help and vice versa. Just like the old days with the M's, one part got fixed and the other became broke, oh well, a true fan supports their team whether they win or lose, no matter how badly they play. Go M's!
Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts and hopefully looking at the links I have been providing.

Mind Wanderings
Now on to the sports portion of this blog. I was happy to see that some home cooking helped the M's win 2 out 3 against Boston. Hopefully by being more competitive at home, that well help them draw in the fans. I know that they had a nice attendance over those three games, although I know that a large portion of those fans were Boston fans.
I was disappointed in how the Sounders FC played on Saturday night against FC Dallas. I think that they thought that it was going to be an easy match and took things too lightly. Against Colorado on Saturday night, hopefully they play better. You can't always play to the level of your competition and be successful.
I am looking forward to the UEFA Champions League Final in Rome of Manchester United and Barcelona. I really don't care who wins this game, as I root for Man U, but with the Sounders FC playing Barcelona later this year in August, it would be great to see them play against the Champions of Europe.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. I bought a new camera recently and have begun to put up some new pictures that I have taken with it on my Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/tbirdshockeyfan I hope you have a great day.

Wiki not the way for me
Now on to more fun topics. I went to the Sounders FC match against the Galaxy on Sunday. It was an entertaining match. The referee was more involved in the match than he should have been. He was doing such a grand job that both coaches were visibly upset with him. He gave out a total of 8 yellow cards and 1 red card. The red card went to a Sounders FC player, James Riley. Seattle better watch out otherwise they may get a reputation as a dirty team. This is the second week in a row in which they have had a player sent off with a red card. I think LA is going to be a nice rival for the Sounders FC. There seem to be some animosity between the players which will make for fun watching in the future.
The Mariners are starting to struggle. The offense has struggled at times and the pitching has as well. Hopefully they can turn things around once they get back to Safeco Field at the end of the week.
I have added some pictures to my Flickr site . http://www.flickr.com/photos/tbirdshockeyfan The pictures are from the Sounders FC match against the Los Angeles Galaxy and also a few pictures of Mt. Rainier in Washington State that I took with a new camera that I just purchased.
Thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings. Please feel free to leave me any comments. Have a wonderful day.

More Random Thoughts
On to the sports thinking of the day. I'm looking forward to the final two matches in the UEFA Champions league this week. Manchester United being up a goal against Arsenal should help them win this two legged affair. They only have to manage a draw and they will move on. Chelsea is a bit different though. They went to the Nou Camp and managed to hold Barcelona to a scoreless draw, but by not scoring any goals they have to hope that it ends in a scoreless draw or that they can win the game at Stamford Bridge, being that if Barca scores the same amount of goals, Barca will move on because of the away goals rule.
I'm excited about this year's EUFA Champions League as there is a rumor going around that the Sounders FC are going to be playing another of the teams in this year's semi-finals. They are already scheduled to play Chelsea at Qwest Field, Seattle, Wa on July 18th. There have been rumors going around for several months now that Barcelona is going to be playing the Sounders FC, but nothing has been confirmed. Although people have been saying that Barcelona had it on their website that they two were going to play a match. I'd love to see any of those teams come. Manchester United, as I saw them a few years ago in Seattle, when they played Celtic. Arsenal is a power in both the EPL and in Europe, so seeing them play would be incredible. Barcelona would be wonderful as well. I got to see Real Madrid play D.C. United a couple of years ago in Seattle. So being able to see the other powerhouse of Spain would be a dream as well. One day, I hope that one or more of the top Italian teams would come to Seattle to play as well.
The Mariner's continue their wonderful play. I've been pleasantly surprised at how well they have been playing. It is quite nice to see them playing as a team. The camaraderie that they have been showing is impressive. Hopefully they can continue this the rest of the season. They may not have the talent level of the other past Mariner's teams, but I don't remember a Mariner's team this seemingly close.
The Seahawks, in my opinion, had a great draft. Hopefully getting two starters with their top two picks. It is going to be interesting to see the types of changes that Jim Mora and his staff bring to the table.
The Sounders FC got a very lucky point this weekend in Chicago. Fredy Montero getting sent off early in the second half, caused the Sounders FC not too many problems. As is the case, most of the time when a player gets sent off, the team that is playing a player down, plays better. The Sounders FC certainly picked it up a level or two. They had more space to work in and really looked like the attacking team at times. Having Kasey Keller in net, I think really helps this team and if they can keep him healthy, as well as their main stars, they should make a nice run deep into the MLS playoffs. I am looking forward to adding to my Flickr site when the Sounders FC host the L.A. Galaxy on Sunday May 10th at Seattle's Qwest Field.
Thanks again for reading my blog. Have a wonderful day.

States I've visited
These are states that I have visited. I enjoy traveling and taking pictures of the places that I've visited. I have to admit, that I enjoy visiting some places more so than others, especially Montana and Wyoming. Although Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Arizona and South Dakota rank up there as well.
Creating Images

This week we got to practice creating images using an imaging creator. Hopefully I did it correctly. This was a picture that I had taken down in Oregon between Joseph and Enterprise. The Wallowa Mountains are in the background. This area of Oregon has many great places to visit and things to do. From hiking in the mountains to boating on lakes. These Clydesdales are right along the road.
I had submitted this picture to the Puyallup Fair and won two ribbons. A Judge's Choice and a People's Choice. Photography is a great hobby of mine. I love mainly shooting nature or animals. Followed closely by sports. I also love shooting in black and white as well as sepia, depending upon the subject matter.
The site where I created this image is http://www.bighugelabs.com/flickr/ A very cool site!
In an unrelated topic, but keeping with the posts theme, I went to the Sounders FC game on Saturday night against the San Jose Earthquakes. The Sounders looked much more comfortable with Kasey Keller back in net. The offense had plenty of chances, they got the first goal of the game. The game really changed when Keller made a tremendous save against a Quakes player. That save saved the game for the Sounders. Instead of beign tied at 1-1. It preserved their 1-0 lead and allowed them to put the game away when they scored their second goal. The final was 2-0. I have posted pictures from that match on my flickr site http://flickr.com/photos/tbirdshockeyfan
Thank you for taking the time to read my postings.

UEFA Thoughts and more
Now on to the UEFA competitions. The UEFA Cup is going to end up being a Germany versus Ukraine affair. The semifinals are going to be Hamburg versus Werder Breman and Shakhtar Donetsk versus Dynamo Kyiv. The Shakhtar/Dynamo Kyiv matches should be great ones to watch. Anytime you get two rivals playing in European competitions, it can lead to great football.
The UEFA Champions semi's are no exception. You have Chelsea and Barcelona battling it out, yet again, not only for European power, but for global superiority as when it comes to global branding. The other semi is a contest between bitter EPL rivals Manchester United, led by Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal led by Arsene Wenger. Not only have these teams battled the last several years over supremacy in England, the last couple of years, they have now taken it to the European stage in the Champion's League. These matches should be great to watch. The gamesmanship between the managers will be fun to follow as well. I'd love to see either a Chelsea versus Man U or Arsenal final, as that should make for a great final, but not always though, as the last final between Man U and Chelsea didn't make for an exciting match, but the ending was though.
Thanks for reading my blog. Hope you have a great day where ever you are.

Random Thoughts
I ended up going to the Sounders FC loss on Saturday night. The game was very exciting and as per more times than not when a team plays a man down, they generally have good attacking chances, which was the case with the Sounders FC. They were a man down for the last 61minutes of the match. GK Kasey Keller was given a red card for a handball outside of the 18 yard box, but the referee missed other handballs on both teams. It was a physically tough game as there were many hard fouls committed by both teams. I have posted some of the pictures that I took on my Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/tbirdshockeyfan The match that the Sounders have this Saturday night versus Chivas USA down at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA will be a good test for them. They will be playing without Keller who is going to have to sit out with a Red Card suspension. Either Chris Eylander or Ben Dragavon will have to play in his place. Eylander is coming off of a knee injury and is still being hampered by it. Dragavon played well in his Sounders FC debut, only giving up one goal. Hopefully with a full complement of players in front of him, he won't have to suffer through a defensive lapse like what occurred on the play when the Wizards scored the goal.
The Mariner's are off to a nice start. Hopefully it is something that they will be able to continue. The pitching is doing quite well, only one rough outing so far for the starters. The defensive speed of the M's in the outfield is quite impressive. That will hopefully give the pitching staff more confidence in letting the batters put the ball into play, knowing that the defensive players behind them will make the play and an out for them. The season is still early for the Mariner's so optimism is still running supreme, but hopefully with a new Manager and clubhouse leaders the team will keep it up.
The Seahawks had their schedule released yesterday. I knew what teams that they were going to be playing, just not when. Unfortunately for me, 7 out of 8 of their home games are going to be on Sundays that I am scheduled to work. I think I 'll be using some vacation time. I'm looking forward to seeing the Jacksonville Jaguars as I've not seen them in person. I'm also looking forward to seeing how the Chicago Bears with Jay Cutler at QB. I am also looking forward to seeing the Detroit Lions play, as they were the very first team I saw the Seahawks play back in the Kingdome.
Thanks again for taking the time to read my blog. I'll try and post something more quickly the next time. Maybe a little UEFA Champion's League, as I'd love Chelsea to win it, as they are playing the Sounders FC in July at Seattle's Qwest Field.

Sounders FC
I have a variety of pictures on there, some are sports, mainly Seahawks, some Sounders, and a few Mariners and some Tacoma Rainiers pictures. Other pictures on there are of various places that I've been. Photography is my first love and passion, that is something that I enjoy doing and find it relaxing. The pictures you see on my site are as they were, there is no photoshop done on any of them. Only a couple have been cropped. I will attempt to check back on here once in awhile to see if people have made comments about my thoughts. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and now on to the comments.
This looks like the year that an expanision team is going to be competing for a Championship. The Seattle Sounders FC are an expansion team in the MLS, but so far, they don't look like a brand new team. With veteren leadership in all areas of the team and a Championship winning coach, the team is well on its way, in my opinion, to setting records that will be hard for other first year teams to achieve. The crowd support that they are getting is going to be of help to them as well. Other teams will dread coming to Qwest to play the Sounders FC as the noise generated by the crowd will be something that most of the other teams are not used to.
Thanks again for reading my blog. I'm new at this and hope to improve and hopefully I find the time to post new comments.
