UEFA Thoughts and more

I've signed up for a few RSS feeds, not exactly what I've been wanting to do, but as part of the training program I am in, I am suppose to. The reason why I don't like RSS feeds is because I am now getting a bunch of extraneous information that I really don't want nor need from sites that I enjoy visiting, but don't completely look at, as I only look at the stories that are of interest to me.

Now on to the UEFA competitions. The UEFA Cup is going to end up being a Germany versus Ukraine affair. The semifinals are going to be Hamburg versus Werder Breman and Shakhtar Donetsk versus Dynamo Kyiv. The Shakhtar/Dynamo Kyiv matches should be great ones to watch. Anytime you get two rivals playing in European competitions, it can lead to great football.

The UEFA Champions semi's are no exception. You have Chelsea and Barcelona battling it out, yet again, not only for European power, but for global superiority as when it comes to global branding. The other semi is a contest between bitter EPL rivals Manchester United, led by Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal led by Arsene Wenger. Not only have these teams battled the last several years over supremacy in England, the last couple of years, they have now taken it to the European stage in the Champion's League. These matches should be great to watch. The gamesmanship between the managers will be fun to follow as well. I'd love to see either a Chelsea versus Man U or Arsenal final, as that should make for a great final, but not always though, as the last final between Man U and Chelsea didn't make for an exciting match, but the ending was though.

Thanks for reading my blog. Hope you have a great day where ever you are.
