This week we are starting a new training program. I chose how to try and find information on the Novelist Database. It looks like a fun way to look things up, very comprehensive, read-a-likes, etc. I think with some more practice on this database, I could like using it regularly.
I had an evaluation today. It went fairly well, although, I feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I am a very, very shy person. No matter how hard I try, I can't overcome it. I feel like in order for me to continue working, I have to overcome it. My shyness torments me and now I have to decide if I should continue working in a profession that I thoroughly enjoy or try and find a new job or a new place to work. I don't know what to do. Maybe I'll feel better after my time off, I'm not sure. I'm not really sure of what to do. Either I come to work and continue to feel physically sick as I try and overcome what causes me this distress, trying not to be myself, which is being quiet and shy or giving it up, being able to be myself and not working in a job that I enjoy. I enjoy helping people, that's why I chose this profession. Maybe it's not the profession for me anymore. I only know I can be myself and not something else, otherwise I don't think I can be happy.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. I'm going to be taking a bit of time off so I won't be blogging again for awhile.

Photos and sports
I had a friend on here, LibraryChic2 http://librarychic2.blogspot.com/ show me how to put some Flickr photo badges on here. I'm an avid photographer and would love to make it a profession. Hopefully one of these days I will. She has a great blog and some cool photos on their blog.
Hopefully the Sounders FC will beat Chivas USA tonight down in Carson, CA. They have had a handfull of draws in a row, which is better than losing that many games, as picking up points on the road is a good thing, but that many draws at home, doesn't make the home crowd as happy, although the crowds are still into the matches and the atmosphere is incredible there. I can't wait for the friendlies against Chelsea and the UEFA Champion's League Champions Barcelona this year in Seattle.
Thanks for reading my blog. I'll blog more when I have the time. Take care and I'll blog again soon.

More Random Thoughts
Today, I am back in training, not for a fight like Rocky, but trying to improve myself as a library employee. I am going back into the training module and looking at things that I might have over looked or didn't get a chance to take a look at. I'm looking at an e-book site, I found an interesting book, although I'm not a member, so I can't download it http://www.archive.org/details/photographyinstu00estauoft Being an avid photographer, I can't even imagine what it would have been like to have had to do all of the work that went into photography in the 1800's. I'm quite happy just to press a few buttons on my camera and get into a setting that I want. Having to create the formulas to develop the pictures would be a task as well. I had friends who took photography in High School who learned how to develop their own pictures. Now with digital cameras, you just look at what you've taken on the camera, a computer or plug the card into the TV, if you have a newer TV. I recently got a new Kodak digital camera. I am enjoying it so far, I've put up a few pictures on my Flickr page http://flickr.com/photos/tbirdshockeyfan I took some more over the weekend and hope to get them posted this week sometime. I've tried putting in some other authors and/or titles, but I keep coming up empty. I must either be inputting the information incorrectly or I must be choosing authors who aren't overly popular or who don't have the title that I am looking for available electronically. I just tried the Google Book Search http://books.google.com/advanced_book_search it has books available online, but some of them aren't available completely online, pages are omitted, but at least it is better than nothing. I chose some obscure authors and/or titles and it was able to find them, albeit with the above limitations.
I've decided that YouTube can be fun, lots of interesting videos are on it, although the quality of some them are poor. Here are some more finds that I enjoyed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VofXdFNuI3U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGE8wVTvHF0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0X-t4en2wPE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BQBa45IOiY I've not had a chance to watch them completely, so I don't know if they are complete or not.
I also like music as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK2hKzZss5Y http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW3Risxm6PY I've had the opportunity to see Sir Paul three times in concert and I hope to be able to see him again, as he puts on a great show. This song I've not seen him perform live, but it is one of my favorites http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsWufNDJl4M
I did buy some books over the weekend, but I forgot to write down their ISBN's or the titles to input them into my LibraryThing account http://www.librarything.com/catalog/tbirdshockeyfan I'll have to add them in the next few days. It's quite nice having an online account for my books, as I am an avid book buyer, and I hate buying the same ones more than once. I saw a title this weekend at a store, I thought I owned it, but the cover looked different. I checked out my account on LibraryThing and saw that I already owned it, thus saving money and time, by not having to return it to Seattle.
I've learned much over these past 9 or so weeks. I hope that I'll be able to remember it all, especially my user names and passwords, as they all are different, so that will be a big challenge, as to trying to remember what goes with what account, especially if I don't use them on a regular basis.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. I hope you have a great day!
